If you’re looking for a smart home speaker, In that case, one powered by Google is an excellent alternative to the Amazon Echo devices.

Google Home devices, like Amazon Echo smart speakers, come in various sizes; the majority are now best branded. They all have Google Assistant built-in, so they can all perform the same tasks. However, they have very different specifications and designs, which will determine where you put them and what you use them for.

Here’s everything you want to know about the Google Home and Nest devices to decide which is best for you.

Which is the Outstanding Google Nest Speaker to Use

  • Nest Mini is little and cheap enough to go into any residence. It has the same Google Assistant aspects as its older siblings but in a much more compact shape.
  • Nest Audio is the prime speaker for the family member, a great performer at a high cost, and a replacement for the original Google Home.
  • Google Home is the speaker that began it all but has now been replaced and enhanced by Nest Audio.
  • Google Home Max is a compelling speaker, which could make it the only one you want in your home for entertainment.
  • Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) provides a 7-inch screen, sleep tracking, and all the aspects of Google Assistant.
  • Google Nest Hub Max adds a more prominent 10-inch screen and a camera, making it a complete Nest device and an intelligent show. It provides a bigger sound than the Nest Hub.

Google Nest Mini

The Google Nest Mini is the second generation of the Google Home Mini and Google’s smallest speaker. It’s a puck-like device, similar to the Amazon Echo Dot, available in four colors with fabric covers.

Because of its compact size, the Nest Mini can be placed anywhere, including on a wall, and even obscured if preferred. It can load content on any Chromecast device, allowing you to access movies and TV shows from supported services using commands.

The Nest Mini supports all Google Assistant features, creating it a smart home control device, an entertainer, and a toy.

Google Home

The Google Home sports a design reminiscent of an air freshener, with a briefly bulbous bottom that tapers towards the top. On the angled top of the residence, there is a touch-sensitive surface that can be utilized to control a diversity of functions. You can also change the base and the color.

Its sound quality is good, but it must be fit to be your main party speaker, even if it is a step up from the Nest Mini. It provides all the connected functions of Google Assistant, so it’s a bright natural residence, letting you control all your devices, access a wide range of Google services and information, and give you control your Chromecast.

It’s now been replaced and bettered by Nest Audio, however.

Google Home Max

Google Home Max is max by title and maximum by nature. It’s significant in size and delivers high-quality sound that can fill a room. A hefty price tag puts the Google Home Max in the premium intelligent home speaker bracket – competing with the Sonos range and the iOS HomePod.

With four drivers and six Class-D amplifiers, the Google Home Max outperforms most other smart home speakers regarding sound quality. We found it capable of sound, but the price may put many off.

Most people will put one in their bedroom or living area. It’s not for wall mounting but can be positioned either vertically or horizontally, making it versatile. It provides all the same aspects as the smaller Nest Mini and Nest Audio, though, with better sound capabilities.

Google Nest Hub (2nd gen)

The second generation Nest Hub replaced the earlier Home Nest/Hub Hub, making a few tweaks but with the same design.

It’s still a floating screen with a mesh base, now with boosted audio for outstanding bass response, so it sounds good. The screen is still a source of information, presenting all of Google Assistant’s connected services.

Sleep tracking, on the other hand, is a natural addition. The Nest Hub can trace your sleeping patterns and provide feedback using clever radar technology, making it a one-of-a-kind bedside assistant.

Google Nest Hub Max

Google Nest Hub Max

The Google Nest Hub Max is the most prominent Home device with a display and ushered in the name change to Nest. That’s because it incorporates a camera that can be used for Duo calling and offers full Nest Cam functions. Hence, it also acts as a protective device. It will also work with Nest’s face identifying, changing the display details to suit different users. However, it doesn’t deliver familiar face alerts like the Nest Hello or Nest Cam IQ.

Elsewhere, the Nest Hub Max boosts the experience of the little screen device, expanding to 10 inches and providing stereo speakers backed with a woofer for excellent sound delivery.

Otherwise, the Nest Hub Max supports Google Assistant providing all the experiences you’d come to expect from Google’s AI system.
